I reworked the fretboard (aligned, re-crowned, and polished frets, treated wood etc), and lined up the front cavities with copper tape, changed bridge and tunners then threw this on, and got to playing... and then the 1st and 2nd position didnt work. The reason the 1st and 2nd positions didn't work, however, was because the copper lining i installed was touching the selector switch. Threw some electrical tape, re-assembled amd EVERYTHING worked perfectly. My cheap old guitar now feels, sounds and looks great! 1st-5th positions work loud and clear! Review: Not bad for the money. - I worked for Leo Fender in the mid 80's and have been building guitars for many years. I had some extra parts and decided to put together a thrasher/ relic for fun. Not being real picky, I got one of these to throw on and try. I was pleasantly supersized how nice it sounds for the money. It has decent pickups and pots. Nice wiring job too. ## Features - Good choice to upgrade Squier Strat HSS or other similar style import guitar, also fits most American/Mexico modern standard Strat HSS style electric guitar, take your tone to the next level. 5-way super switch brings more unique tone options - Features staggered polepieces Alnico 5 magnet neck/middle pickups, vintage-style tones, is similar with F Custom 69 Strat pickups, staggered polepieces for balanced output, reverse wound and reverse polarity (RWRP) middle pickup for hum cancelling, works especially well with pedals. Nice wiring job too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super switch issues *by W***N on April 18, 2025* I love the tones at all positions, I was interested in having the HSS config. The Humbucker sounds great and when split the single sounds pretty good, not quite a chimy as I like but very acceptable. The only issue I have with the unit is that the “super” switch does not positively stop in positions 2 & 3 causing you to have to set off position to get any sound. This is not really important to me as with the HSS I mostly use positions 5, 4 and 1. ## Frequently Bought Together - Musiclily Pro SE ST-HSS-60SE Pre-wired Standard HSS Pickguard with Alnico 5 Magnet Pickups 5-Way Super Switch for ST Style Electric Guitar, 4ply Aged White Pearl - Alnicov 42MM Unbleached Pure Bone Nut Guitar Slotted Bone Nut For Strat Tele Electric Guitar 42X3.5MM - Musiclily Pro 6 in Line Guitar Locking Tuners Guitar Lock String Tuning Pegs Keys Machine Heads Set for Strat Tele Electric Guitar, Gold --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/698658402-musiclily-pro-se-st-hss-60se-pre-wired-pickguard-4ply](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/698658402-musiclily-pro-se-st-hss-60se-pre-wired-pickguard-4ply) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
