If you block the fan intake on a flat surface, cooling effect dramatically reduces, it has to be suspended in space somehow if you’re cooling a non-handheld device. The grappling hooks are also way too long, but I haven’t had to use them for my purposes. It does get really cold, cold beer cold. It does create a lot of water condensation if it’s at an angle, and you don’t have granular control of the temperature, it can dramatically, temporarily hinder a battery’s ability to function on a device, no permanent damage that I have noticed tho. The performance of my devices I use this for have provably increased and I’m pleased with what I bought.
