I had a phone like this before, it had good volume level, which made me look for another one like it when I needed another cell phone.This purchased phone had a low volume in its hearing, ringing and audio settings. I could barely hear the callers, especially in public places. I think it has something to do with either the phone's battery or a hardware than a software in the phone, relating to these 2 features. But I'm not completely sure as I haven't carried it to a phone place to check it out, partly because I am wondering if what they will charge me to check it out might be more than what I bought the phone for.I will recommend this kind of phone to persons who don't need or want the Internet or Touch Screens that newer phone models are now being made from the phone manufacturing companies.I think it's a good basic phone for calls and receiving text messages, although some people may not have the kind of patience required with the 'texting' feature of this older phone. ### ⭐ OK if you live in right area *by K***G on June 20, 2010* I never was able to get the stupid thing to work, partly because I called in and I live in an area that the unit does not cover.
