Review: High marks for ease of use - Easy to use, works great, feels really nice in the hand - solid and well made. We've used it for creme brulee (because you know, that's the law) and it worked perfectly. I bought this two pack (along with a two pack of fuel) and gave one with a set of ramekins to my (adult) daughter for Christmas. And of course I gave myself the other one. I see myself buying a lot more eggs and heavy cream in the future... The only thing I didn't love is that it has a switch you can flip so that you don't have to keep squeezing the trigger. But squeezing it is hardly difficult and if I somehow drop it, I want it to be off before it hits the floor. Maybe for some this is a useful feature (like for restaurant use), but to me it's a potential hazard.

Easy to use, works great, feels really nice in the hand - solid and well made. We've used it for creme brulee (because you know, that's the law) and it worked perfectly. I bought this two pack (along with a two pack of fuel) and gave one with a set of ramekins to my (adult) daughter for Christmas. And of course I gave myself the other one. I see myself buying a lot more eggs and heavy cream in the future... The only thing I didn't love is that it has a switch you can flip so that you don't have to keep squeezing the trigger. But squeezing it is hardly difficult and if I somehow drop it, I want it to be off before it hits the floor. Maybe for some this is a useful feature (like for restaurant use), but to me it's a potential hazard.
