If you're using for CQB, there's no momentary functionality on either the light or laser. The strobe effect of a bright light can be useful, but this does NOT have strobe effect. If you're planning for it to be used for home defense, again, it's TOO bright. Just the backlash of light is blinding. If you turn it on and the light happens to reflect off a painting hung on your wall, or off a pane of glass? Consider yourself now helpless because at night, youll have splotches in your eyes until it wears off and your eyes re'adjust to whatever ambient happens to be. If you're using for CQB, there's no momentary functionality on either the light or laser. The strobe effect of a bright light can be useful, but this does NOT have strobe effect.
