Made in Austria with premium nickel plating, these strings offer a smooth feel and sparkling sound that stands out in any jazz ensemble. ## Description Probably the only round wound guitar string that can truly be called a jazz string. A similarity to the JAZZ SWING in materials and string architecture, but with a small gauge round wound nickel winding, produces a strong, fundamental rich jazzy tone that is somewhat brighter than a flat wound. This remarkable string is an excellent alternate choice or the player wanting real jazz tone, but with a bit more of an “edge”. ## Features - The construction and the material selection are very similar to the JAZZ SWING strings. The difference here is the round wound nickel - Nickel wound with low strength but with a rich, jazzy sound. Slightly clearer than a flat wound. Sparkling jazz sound with a little more ''bite''. - Plain brass plated strings - Set Extra Light Nickel round wound .011 .015 .019p .026w .034w .047w - String tension 55 kp ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B00162VVN6 | | Best Sellers Rank | 6,890 in Musical Instruments & DJ (See Top 100 in Musical Instruments & DJ) 266 in Guitar Strings | | Body Material Type | Nickel | | Brand Name | Thomastik-Infeld | | Coating Description | Nickel plating | | Colour | Nickel | | Country Of Origin | Austria | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (407) 4.5 out of 5 stars | | Finish Type | Nickel Plated | | Global Trade Identification Number | 09003918701183 | | Included Components | Thomastik Jazz BeBop Series Strings (.011, .015, .019p, .026w, .034w, .047w) | | Instrument | Electric Guitar | | Item Type Name | Strings for Electric Guitar | | Item Weight | 0.05 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Thomastik | | Manufacturer Part Number | 676807 | | Model Name | BB111 | | Model Number | BB111 | | Number Of Items | 6 | | Number Of Packs | 1 | | Product Warranty | 1 year. | | Recommended Uses For Product | jazz guitar playing | | Set Name | Thomastik BB111 Jazz BeBop Series | | Sound Profile | Bright and Clear Jazz Sound | | String Gauge | Extra Light | | String Material Type | Nickel | | Unit Count | 1.00 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Thomastik-Infeld - **String gauge:** Extra Light - **Colour:** Nickel - **Instrument:** Accordion - **String material type:** Nickel ## Images ![Thomastik BB111 Jazz BeBop Series, 11-47/12-50/13-53/14-55, 11-47 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61czf-nUNnL.jpg) ![Thomastik BB111 Jazz BeBop Series, 11-47/12-50/13-53/14-55, 11-47 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/814tXqJ6W6L.jpg) ![Thomastik BB111 Jazz BeBop Series, 11-47/12-50/13-53/14-55, 11-47 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31w3GGJJvgL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great feel and sound *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 10 June 2025* Excellent strings ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "The" strings for guitar *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 3 August 2020* I have them on my Gretsch Anniversary I can get a deep twang from the bridge pickup and yet a mellow full sweetness from the neck pickup and best of all they are velvet smooth to play. They last so well (as long as you clean them like any other string) in fact I don't need to change them as often as other brands and the guitar is played everyday for at least two hours. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect extremely warm strings *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 April 2023* Very nice sound, feel and look. The warmest strings I've ever played, had to set my amp to the lowest bass level, if you like that you'll definitely like these. ## Frequently Bought Together - Thomastik-Infeld Accordion Accessory (BB111) - Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Guitar Swing Series 6 String Pure Nickel Flat Wounds E, B, G, D, A, E Set (JS110) - Thomastik-Infeld GB112 Jazz Guitar Strings: George Benson 6 String Set - Pure Nickel Flat Wounds E, B, G, D, A, E Set --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/69300579-thomastik-bb111-jazz-bebop-series-11-47-12-50-13](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/69300579-thomastik-bb111-jazz-bebop-series-11-47-12-50-13) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
