Review: Great gaming mouse ! Awesome RGB lighting. - It's basically a really good and precise mouse , very customizable with awesome RGB lighting. The software is so so but it works. It's still in beta stage, has some bugs, one of the is that you cannot minimize the app to the system tray. It's stays in the task bar of windows no matter what. About the mouse I'll say it works great by itself. It feels comfortable in the hand, it's a little heavy compared to the Corsair harpoon rgb I had but nothing to worry about, it's comfortable. I have medium to large hands and this mouse works best for both CLAW and PALM grip, I'd say you can use fingertip style if you have very large hands. But it's mostly palm/claw grip mouse. I use both depending in what I'm doing. This mouse has a Pixart 3389 optical sensor which is a high end one, a slightly upgraded 3360. So you'll get acuérdate aiming in fps games. Build quality seems ok, it kinda feels cheap but not by much, it just has a very plastic feel to it. It won't ruin your experience. The price-benefit ratio is great and I'm loving it so far. I was a little skeptical about it because of the price, but once I tried it out I knew this is underrated and a great value. First, this mouse is beautiful and the clicks are satisfying. The Omron switches definitely help with that. Its fairly lightweight if your looking for a pure fps type mouse. Most mice with this type of sensor are going to cost much more, let alone the beauty of it helps with that value. The braided cable is solid so far and has not been in my way at all. I have large hands and sometimes I really have to be picky. This mouse is just large enough to be comfy without being too small. I enjoy the full grip of a g602, but this one is not as wide with a nice contour to it and I have no issues here. I have been playing games like Deadside and enjoying that sensor immensely. Its a fantastic buy if you can get it for under fifty bucks and at MSRP, its still worth it. I do not use this as a daily driver, I use this as a more situational mouse for fps, but it could double for anything you want. The side buttons have a fantastic feel and the scroll button has a nice feel also. My only real gripe is the software, but since Ngenuity is in beta, this is forgivable as I am a big fan of Kingston and HyperX in general. I have faith that it will improve over time. **Q: How dose this compare to the zowie ec2-a**
A: Shape is a bit differen and weight is a little heavier but not noticable too much to me. I have medium to large hands so it feel right to me. But differences are weight with Surge is 100g and EC2-A weight is 93g, sensor in EC2-A is a 3310 and sensor in Pulsefire Surge is a 3389. Clicks on the EC2-A have a little more resistance on it where the Surge has clicks that have resistance behind them but they are still fast. Having used both, they're both good mice. The HyperX has something good going for them

**Q: Do I need to download any software to use it ?**
A: No. It will plug and play without software. You will want to download the HyperX NGENUITY software if you want to customize what the buttons do or change the rgb color from default value (red).

It's basically a really good and precise mouse , very customizable with awesome RGB lighting. The software is so so but it works. It's still in beta stage, has some bugs, one of the is that you cannot minimize the app to the system tray. It's stays in the task bar of windows no matter what. About the mouse I'll say it works great by itself. It feels comfortable in the hand, it's a little heavy compared to the Corsair harpoon rgb I had but nothing to worry about, it's comfortable. I’ve been using the HyperX Pulsefire Surge gaming mouse for a while now(7-8 months), and it’s been fantastic. The sensor is super accurate, the clicks feel crisp, and the RGB lighting still looks great. It’s held up perfectly through daily gaming and work use — no issues at all. Definitely a solid, dependable mouse that I’d recommend to anyone!
