Before your first camping trip with this oven, experiment to find the best baking technique. We use a Blackstone Tailgater as the heat source. Don’t let a bad review influence you when they don’t reveal their heat source. Bottom line. You must figure out a compatible heat source that works with this oven. Once you do, this thing works great! We learned the flame cannot shoot directly into the oven and placing a stone tile on the bottom to block the flame (as a reviewer suggested) don’t work as both methods burn the bottom of muffins. The best was placing on top of the BBQ grill. With careful temp monitoring, it baked perfectly. A potential downside is droppings from prior barbecuing may add flavor to your food. We didn’t notice any unacceptable added flavor - yet.
