I always test the chisel on white oak end grain, they cut fine.After 6 months I am disappointed with the purcase, for less money buy yourself a good set of Narex or Stanley 750s. They are truly better chisels. Do these work yes, but you can get better chisels for less money. Its not really about the money Its about value and these do not give you what you would expect. My 25mm chipped on cutting cherry that's sad. If I had the same money again I'd buy one good veritas or lie nielson and know I had a great tool.
