They are super soft on your feet, but just know they have ZERO padding. The rugs are a little thin so you may need a different type of mat if you are spending a lot of time on your feet in the kitchen, yet they are lusciously soft beneath your bare feet and they lay perfectly flat upon the floor, which helps prevent face planting when you awaken in the middle of the night and desire a little snack of something from the fridge.
