This story was everything & more, exceeding my expectations x1000 per usual!! The story was gripping & my brain hurts from trying to pick up all the hints & clues to try & figure out how this is all going to end!!!Mortal x Immortal going to Quarrierton Academy & one of the courses is human relations where they hate each other but have to complete sexual tasks in order to PASS?!? Whewww 🥵ᴅᴇꜱᴘᴇʀᴀᴛᴇ ꜰᴏʀ ᴛᴀꜱᴋ ꜰᴏᴜʀ? ᴅᴇꜱᴘᴇʀᴀᴛᴇ ᴛᴏ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴍʏ ꜰɪɴɢᴇʀꜱ ɪɴꜱɪᴅᴇ ʏᴏᴜ?”DANE M’FING DALTON!!!!! The way that I fell for this man!!!! I will crawl & beg him to degrade me any day because the mouth on that man! And his shadows??? Doing unspeakable things like holding Sera’s legs apart??? I was grinning from ear to ear, eating that up like it was my last meal for real😩 To think I was already obsessed with Leigh & her fictional men, well Kade & Malachi need to step aside & make some room😮‍💨“ᴛᴇʟʟ ᴍᴇ, ʜᴜᴍᴀɴ, ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀɴᴛ? ꜰᴏʀ ᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ ʀɪᴘ ᴛʜᴀᴛ ꜱʜɪʀᴛ ᴏꜰꜰ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴅʏɪɴɢ ʙᴏᴅʏ, ʙᴇɴᴅ ʏᴏᴜ ᴏᴠᴇʀ ᴛʜɪꜱ ᴅᴇꜱᴋ, ᴀɴᴅ ꜰᴜᴄᴋ ʏᴏᴜ ᴜɴᴛɪʟ ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴘ!ꜱꜱʏ ɪꜱ ʀᴀᴡ?”SERA!!! Honestly moving into one of my top FMC! I was nervous with this story being single POV, just because I normally dont read them & if I do I have to LOVE the person the point of view is in. Leigh knocked it out of the park for me with Sera’s POV! She was hilarious, relatable, was not afraid to dish it back to Dane! I loved her so much!!!ᴅᴀɴᴇ ᴅᴀʟᴛᴏɴ ᴄᴀɴ ꜱᴜᴄᴋ ᴍʏ ɪᴍᴀɢɪɴᴀʀʏ ᴅ!ᴄᴋ.Honestly I am still so speechless from this story & in “awe” of the absolute talent Leigh has in constantly having her readers in a chokehold. This is going into my list of 2024 top reads & I cannot wait to read more!!!

Satanic Shadows is book one of the broken realms series. Fantasy isn't a genre i normally read, but the moment I heard Leigh Rivers qas writing one, I knew I had to read it. It doesn’t have the same intensity as Leighs other books, but that doesn't take away how good it was. It is a slow burn, but I loved the tension between the mmc and the fmc. What i'd give to have Dane's shadows all over me. Did I just add a shadow daddy to my book boyfriend why choose? You can bet your life I did. Thank you Leigh for another amazing book.
