Just hoover it and dust it. **Q: My cat doesn't use a litter tray but she does bring in lots of mud and grit on her paws, which ends up on my bed! Would this mat prevent grit and mud** A: If your cat stayed mainly on the cat litter mat ( which is a large size) when she first came in with dirt & grit on her paws i suppose a lot of it would shake loose and fall onto the mat saving your bed from becoming as dirty. As cats are free spirits though she may not want to stay on the mat and so the dirt and grit could work itself free from her paws anyway. If i was in the same situation i would place the cat litter mat on the bed to hopefully stop it becoming soiled as there is nothing to loose. **Q: Can it be washed in washing machine?** A: It can, although you'll want to shake any loose litter from the mat before washing it to keep your washing machine clear of blockages. But this catches a lot of it, and can carry quite a lot in the grooves, preventing the litter from getting further kicked around. Although it can be difficult to remove all the litter from the grooves. It is also easy to clean cat mess off of, and I have had no problem clearing cat poop in the past.
