Use Orange 2B only on aluminum. It is not intended for use on any other metals or materials. Orange 2B can change its shade of orange depending on how long it is in the dye bath. It can be a vibrant tangerine orange if you do a shorter anodizing cycle. For a longer duration in the anodizing bath and in the dye bath, Orange 2B will look like a deep burnt orange. The anodizing process parameters have a significant impact on the properties of the oxide formed. This means that the color is dependent on the anodizing process. Orange 2B is RoHS compliant. Anodizing is an electrochemical conversion process. Anodizing changes the outer surface of the aluminum. Anodized aluminum has different characteristics than raw aluminum.
