It is quite surprising how much solid bass you can get out of a relatively small ported box. If you are looking to build a pair of speakers that isn't going to break the bank and want something that is going to out perform the majority of commercial units, then this is the way to go. Really good you get what you pay for performs well and does have some decent low air resonance bass to it that is quite like a subwoofer doesn't shake the house but definitely rattles the windows
