It's annoying because this kills the broadband router, which takes 5-7 minutes to restart. This device replaces your original broadband router power supply completely. It has a rechargeable battery inside and quick change-over when the power fails. My router has not noticed the on-going brown-outs.I now need something similar for a Raspberry PI but with USB 5V/3A output.
