A: We are not adding anything to the spices. Our spices naturally have a higher mineral content since they are Organic and are grown in India where the conditions for growth are the best.

**Q: is this 100 grams or half pound? it says both**
A: Our cinnamon bark is 100 grams (3.53oz) net weight.

**Q: Is this 16 oz or 8 oz two different descriptions?**
A: The one I bought was ground ginger and it was 7oz.

**Q: Is this product meant more for steeping, or would I be able to blend it in the smoothie? Thanks!**
A: You can do both. Its finely cut and sifted so there are no large particles.

I worked many years in middle east and well accustomed to goat, chicken and kingfish Biryani. A staple This "Pride of India" Biryany masala is great. You will spend a lot more money buying these spices individually. if you google a biryani recipe. Only thing missing for real Biryani is cardamom pods and Saffron. Both crazy expensive. But you can substitute a little turmeric for saffron to yellow the rice. I think it has cardamom powder mixed in. I can smell it. Cardamom has a very unique fragrance and flavor. This blend is very versatile and can use in many different recipes. It isn't hot spicy but can be overwhelming if use too much. Use sparingly
