No instructions came with it but if you do not know how to remove the 2 trigger bolts, and the trigger assembly, you should allow for a professional to install (or do it yourself, it is not hard if you want to learn). Installation was a breeze. The only point of failure I can predict would be the 4 screws (2 on each side) holding the new trigger pins together. They are very thin and fairly short so keep an eye on it. The product looked amazing, truly modernizing my 30 year old 870. I appreciate the top rail is elevated, allowing you to use the front sight on the barrel. I mounted a micro T-1 red dot onto the rail, and the height felt comfortable for me. The mount sat flush with the top of the shotgun. No gaps, or weird spaces or wiggly parts. Moving it back and forth produced no audible sounds. All in all, extremely impressed, especially for the cheap price tag, I highly recommend!! The holes aligned with the rear pins, but no where near close to the front pins. I tried to make it work by sanding some material, light hammering, but nothing worked at all. Very horrible piece of equipment you wouldn't want to put on something you care about. Buy literally anything else.
