I realized after two weeks of continued swelling and discomfort, my twisted ankle was not really without actual support. ACE and regular compression stockings were just not cutting it.It's a little like a puzzle to get it on but once you get the groove it's easy enough for a relatively mobile person to get on. If you have any difficulty with putting on socks and shoes, you'll probably need help applying this brace.It offers support, which is the primary reason for a brace, so it does what it's supposed to. Mine arrived brand new, security sealed in a packet with instructions that are clear and a small gift of a compression ankle garment, which was a nice surprise that I don't have to buy one separately now. The material is high quality and the velcro is crazy-sticky, so be mindful you dont let it touch your socks or sweater because it will absolutely get good and stuck.For what I paid, the fast shipping, the apparent quality and the comfort, I would say I got a good deal and I'm fully satisfied with my purchase.The photo is the brace on my left ankle, with compression stocking under and grippy sock over top to keep the brace tidy. This brace isn't great for alleviating achilles tendonitis. It excels at left-and-right foot ankle rotation and pivoting, however.2. Review the sizing guide carefully before you order. I'm a goofball and didn't look closely enough and ordered a size too small, and that's entirely my own fault.3. This will likely not fit well inside your shoes. I wear Skechers Slip-Ins and, while my foot slid in fairly easily, it stretched out the ankle of my shoe a notable amount. Again, my own fault, but be wary of this if you're looking for a brace worn with shoes on.The quality of this brace is fantastic. The velcro is a very effective quality (beware, it will cling to your socks really strongly). It's relatively simple to put on; while it does offer really good support in how it's affixed, the tradeoff is lowered accessibility for less dexterous or mobile people.There are no loose laces - the laces are affixed to tabs you can use to pull and tighten the laces over your ankle. This allows it to offer comparable support to laced braces while providing more accessibility to less-abled people.The side straps are thick and durable and do a great job of preventing your ankle from rolling. However, the straps don't have any hoops or holds on them, so pulling them tight can be challenging for those who have difficulty with finger strength.Because of the sizing discrepancy, not being able to wear a shoe over this, and my need for achilles tendon support, I am returning mine, so I won't be able to speak to experiencing its durability over time; however, it does feel very well-made and durable and would give me confidence in long-term use. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Ankle Support for Sports and Training *by on Reviewed in the United States July 30, 2026* My daughter has been using this ankle brace for basketball and strength training after ther ankle sprain, and it has been working very well.
