You pay for what you get..... **Q: do i need a compressor with this product** A: Yes, it needs to be worked with a compressor to inflate a tire. **Q: What is the 1/4" npt quick-connect male? is it us or eu style?** A: The male connection would be on your compressor hose. The connector on this device is female. It can accept either a 1/4 or 1/2 male connection. I have a German Compressor and it connects fine. I don't know what the difference is with the EU or US style, however, I dont have an issue with any of the interchangeable tools I use with the compressor. The only minor criticism is that it can be a little tricky to seal over floppy valves stems (rigid valve stems are fine) - but once sealed it works well. The illuminated display is a nice feature and it's a doddle to change between PSI, Kg/cm², bar and KPA.
