Review: Corto, poco avvincente, tantissimo fumo negli occhi. - Catturato dalla bellissima confezione e dallo stile grafico, ho visto alcuni trailer del gioco e mi sono convinto ad acquistare Neon Blood. Purtroppo tutte le premesse sono state deluse, e vi giuro che mi dispiace un casino... poteva essere una bellissima esperienza per molti videogiocatori. Invece: - La storia è frettolosissima, alcuni passaggi sono abbozzati, altri tirati proprio per i capelli. I personaggi potevano essere caratterizzati con più cura, invece tutto sa di pressappochismo. - I dialoghi sono di medio livello e quando le due linee di dialogo sono esaurite, i personaggi danno in loop sempre le stesse risposte. In due scenari totalmente differenti c'è una coppia di personaggi che dice esattamente le stesse cose. - Il gameplay è la parte più deludente: nelle fasi di scontro basta scegliere sempre la solita opzione di attacco per vincere sempre senza fatica, quelle esplorative sono noiose da morire. Un puzzle ambientale viene riproposto 2 volte esattamente uguale (tra l'altro è pallosissimo). Dai filmati, gli scontri sembrano pieni di azione: in realtà viene tutto risolto con alcuni quick-time event, e anche qui, poco ispirati. - L'audio salva un po' la produzione proponendo una colonna sonora synth che fa il suo lavoro anche se non rimane memorabile. - Mi è molto piaciuto lo stile scelto, che mischia bene un 2D pieno di bei pixel con fondali 3D. Avrei voluto veramente fosse una bomba, una bella perla indie che dava spallate alle grandi produzioni, qualcosa di fresco e piacevole. Ed invece mi sono largamente rotto le scatole tutte e 4 le ore che mi ci sono volute a finire questo tedio. Sconsiglio caldamente.
