After charging and turning on the fan I noticed a loud grinding and vibration in the unit. I opened the fan chamber and found brass filings under the fan that caused much of the noise. I cleaned that out and while the noise is better it still vibrates, seems like the cast brass fan is considerably unbalanced. I noticed the base of the unit is not ground flat so when turned on and the base not being in full contact exaggerates the vibration.
