Everything turned out ok.  I purchased an Arrow P-35 stapler at a garage sale but it had only a few staples loaded in it.  This is a hand held stapler used to drive a heavy 1/4 or 3/8 inch staple through a thick stack of papers.  Not everyone carries the correct staple and nothing works but the P-35 so thank you Max Warehouse for carrying what I needed.
