I was mainly interested in replacing one with a Wifi enabled one that I could control from my cell phone for remote controlling my irrigation system. The controller is inside our house in the basement close to the elctrical boxes (with a plug in on the box) and was quite easy to mount and hook up to replace the old controller. I did have some extra time in hooking up each zone as they are more screw down type of low voltage connector instead of the more easy "snap down" type of connector on my old controller. For the DIY'er like myself, this was a little more difficult hooking up an 8 zone controller. The App was easy to download and get connected to our WiFi and asid from a few software glitches (like other reviews does not always connect to the WiFi on first attemp) but is always working on a second attempt when trying to do a manual watering. It seems a little overly complicated but looks like it has great functionality if you have multiple commercial systems to operate. I was going to leave a 4/5 rating but the controller works 100% in its intended funtions and is so much nicer to set up and program to your exact needs.
