No tripod. They don't advertise it that way, but it was a nice suprise **Q: i want one in FDE do you have one with the Link?** A: Dear brian lSorry but I don t sell this itemThank you for askingSylvie **Q: do you have to manually input your rifles and loads? i am currently using the AB app for andriod. can i just transfer those profiles to the kestrel?** A: Yes you can definitely do that. However you cannot do it with the AB app. You have to use the Kestrel LiNK Ballistics app to do this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nkhome.link.ballistics&hl=en **Q: is this the 5700 elite? what model is the top of the line model?** A: Depends what you want it for. 5700 is tops in my book with applied ballistics. There others designed for fire, agriculture, etc. I like me 5700 and would buy it again. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ein ballistischer Rechner absolut praxistauglich *by on Reviewed in Germany 10 March 2025* Hervorragende ballistischer Rechner ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Takes all the guessing out of long-range shooting *by on Reviewed in the United States 5 January 2020* I had my first shooting session with my Kestrel Elite today and could not believe how well it worked. A friend brought a new rifle and scope and we zeroed them at 100 yards, and from there kept pushing out further and further up to the maximum range of 600 yards that the range had steel targets set up at. He was doing the shooting and I acted as the spotter and called the turret adjustments.Considering that the rifle and scope were new and the ammunition information from a load library and not past experience, it was quite remarkable to repeatably shift to the next further target and effortlessly ring steel. At 600 yards he was able to hit a 24” target consistently and a 12” target more than half the time.I had brought a printed ballistic table for the load just in case, and wound up disregarding it completely. It disagreed with the Kestrel solutions somewhat and wouldn’t have helped with the wind anyway. Going forward, I won’t bother with printed tables. One annoying limitation is that you cannot have both a phone and laser rangefinder connected at the same time, since they require the Kestrel Bluetooth radio to be indifferent operating modes. I also have a Bushnell Elite 1 Mile CONX rangefinder which can send distance and inclination angle information to the Kestrel, but then the Kestrel Link app on my iPhone can’t talk to the Kestrel. I find it preferable to lase the target and enter the distance and inclination information manually.Regarding the Bluetooth connectivity issues that people have reported, I have only experienced one instance. I had the iOS Kestrel Link app crash on me once when I tried sending a gun library to the Kestrel, and after that the app would not connect even after restarting it. I then toggled Bluetooth off and back on on the Kestrel, and that fixed the issue. I suspect restarting the Kestrel would have achieved the same result.Overall I am extremely pleased with the system. Watching the YouTube videos from Kestrel and Panhandle Precision has been very helpful in getting started. There are many features I haven’t even tried yet, but the unit is already a essential piece of equipment in my bag going forward.Update: I should add that I had tried shooting the 600 yard targets before by estimating holds and using paper ballistic tables. I don't recall every hitting them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helps you plan for success. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 16 September 2025* Great bit of kit. If you are into long distance shooting in all weathers, this is for you. It's not cheap, but if you need this more than an app, you'll know. ## Frequently Bought Together - Kestrel Ballistics Elite Weather Meter with Applied Ballistics and Bluetooth Link, Tan - Kestrel Ballistics Armageddon Gear Kestrel Pocket - Kestrel Rotating Vane Mount & Carry Case 5000 Series Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/658410825-kestrel-5700ab-elite-weather-meter-w-applied-ballistics-link-desert](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/658410825-kestrel-5700ab-elite-weather-meter-w-applied-ballistics-link-desert) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
