They’ve provided a 100% reliable connection between the hub and my laptop's peripherals, including HDMI to an external monitor, three external USB-C hard drives, a headset, and an external DVD drive. The hub’s built-in cable, at only 5 inches long, forced everything to pile up on the left side of the laptop creating a huge rat’s nest of cables. With the Cable Matters extension and right-angle adapter, I was able to move the hub behind the laptop, completely out of the way, which greatly improved both desk organization and day-to-day usability. I’ve tried several other USB-C extension cables before these. They all worked for a few weeks or even a couple of months but eventually failed.
