It looks like it’s Teflon coated but it is not like any coated pans or skillets I’ve had before. It’s sturdy and distributes the heat evenly. The lid fits securely too. I’ve done steaks in it and they’ve seared nicely. I always use rubber tools on all my cooking items. It’s so easy to pick up and the handles do not get hot. I’ve been on a Mediterranean diet and use this as a one pan meal. I only use EVO on it. It sautés everything. I can go from stove top to oven if needed. It cleans so easily. I did season it prior to using it. Easy to do. I am going to check if they make other pans or pots. If so I’m replacing all my old pans.
