We usually brew Nespresso coffee (230ml or 7.77oz) cup, let cool a few minutes and then pour into the Hyperchiller. It does advertise that the coffee and be brewed directly into the cup, however, we have not tried this as several other reviews have mentioned a problem with cracking. The coffee gets poured into the chamber from the top. Works best to swirl around a bit and cools within minutes. We give it a rinse and wipe dry and pop it back into the freezer till next time. It was a gift purchase - not sure if I would usually justify spending this amount on a cup. It does speed up the chilling process and eliminates watered down coffee. We have been using this cup for 2 months without any cracking issues.
