Both were highly successful. I own two of the ATK winner 4 cube maker with the gray hard shell and blue silicone. I have had zero problems so far following manufacturer recommendations. I just wanted something better suited to high volume output for a few home users. One of this device makes 2.5 times the output of ATK winner. I have a shallow well with water softener. This results in higher sediment water. As with all directional freezing tools I have the best success using boiled water. I have made two batches in the clearlyfrozen device. The boiled water was crystal clear. The tap water had fine streaky air bubbles. I advise waiting for boiled water to cool before adding to the tray. Hot water has caused my hard plastic tray to bow outward on the long edge slightly. The foam tray isn’t intended to hold pressure against the plastic tray. Update 1/15/26 : My insulation tub eventually became too damaged to use and I emailed the company and was immediately shipped a free replacement.
