Product Description ER14250 APPLICATION Medical instruments, cash registers, alarm and security systems, wireless devices, mobile asset tracking equipment, electronic meters (water, gas, electricity), automotive telematics, vehicle tracking devices, ETCs (Electronic Toll CollectionSystems). Non-rechargeable Battery Reference model: ER14250 1/2 AA Rated capacity: 1200mAh Diameter:14.5mm Height:25.2mm Battery weight: 11g Standard voltage: 3.6V, one-time non-rechargeable lithium battery Large continuous discharge current: 20mA Large pulse discharge current: 50mA Operating temperature: -55 ° C ~ +85 ° C Self-discharge rate of less than 1% per year Wide range of temperatures: -55°C to +85°C Superior shelf life Single Use What if your battery doesn't work when connected to the device? 1. Test the OCV(Open Circuit Voltage). You can use the multi-meter to test the voltage. Standard voltage should be no less than 3.6V. If your battery is lower than 3.6V, please tell us. 2. Test loading voltage. The loading voltage should be around 3.2V. If your loading voltage is higher than 3.2V, the battery is in good condition. Due to the passivation characteristic of lithium thionyl chloride, your loading voltage may not reach 3.2V immediately. You can connect the battery with a resistor and activate it with a multimeter. When the loading voltage of the battery reaches 3.2V, then the activation is successful and the battery can be used. 3. If the battery fails to activate or is still unusable after activation, please tell us for help. 1. Thoroughly read the product datasheet before use, inaccurate handling may cause leakage, heat, smoke, explosion, or fire, causing device trouble or injury. 2. DO NOT recharge, short-circuit, puncture, disassemble, deform, heat, incinerate, or place the battery near a direct flame. This battery contains flammable materials such as lithium and organic solvent and performing any of the above actions could cause it to ignite explode or become damaged. 3. DO NOT over-discharge, do not force discharge. In case the battery is over-discharged battery has potential of explosion. In case battery is over discharged, when connected with exterior power source or connected with other batteries in series, explosion may occur. 4. Keep this battery out of the reach of children. If it is swallowed, contact a physician immediately. 5. When storing a battery or throwing it away, be sure to cover it with tape. If the battery is contacted with other metal objects, it could cause fire or become damaged. 6. Insert the battery with the "+" and "-" ends correctly oriented. 7. Do not mix use old, new or different brand or type of battery. 8. Do not solder the battery directly. 9. Avoid storing the battery in direct sunlight, or in excessively hot and humid place. ATTENTION 1.This battery is not rechargeable. 2.This battery cannot replace alkaline batteries. 3.Although our battery has a 10-year shelf life (under special storage conditions), we advise customers not to store batteries for a long time due to the passivation characteristic. We highly recommend customer to use the battery within 3 months to receive optimal performance.

It's difficult to review something that has a 10 year shelf life, so all I can say is we replaced the batteries in our alarm system at home and the batteries worked fine. I tested a few as per the instructions, and they were fully charged. Time will tell if they continue to hold charge, but I can't fault them at the moment.
