The coating does come off the coloured ones due to the vape liquid so I only buy the silver now. To all those that say the thread disintegrates, this is due to the vape liquid on the battery and the charger itself which becomes quite crusty. I now buy new chargers (about half the price of the battery itself) every time I buy new batteries and can safely recharge my old batteries in spite of them not appearing to thread properly on the old charger.
