Is it a play mat or a gym I wonder! May be it's a combo! Whatever it is labeled as, it is a fun thing for babies 0-12 month old. Older babies may play in it but they won't be able to sit in it properly but having said that, it has some good features for the intended age of 0-12 months. Firstly, the colours are nice and they are not targeted at only boys or only girls as such, they have a good mix of colours to keep any child entertained. The pad itself is soft and good to use on carpets and flooring though I suspect that a child may feel a bit tired if left on the wooden flooring for too long, but it's just my own feeling, children probably will not even notice as they;d be busy with all the hanging toys. Unlike some mats we have used before where they did not allow more than one position, this one allows two positions not including laying on tummy position so depending on child's age and mood, you can change the position to suite their needs. The rattling shoes are a nice feature and the child can love it (or hate it mind you, it depends on the child) and can keep rattling their feet, as they do even without shoes on, for hours. Other activities are also interesting. One great feature for us as a parent is that it is easily foldable to carry or take with you when travelling. Overall the design, quality material, versatile, good ideas, just that price is slightly high. Highly Recommended!
