While I don't have OCD, I could tell that it was written by someone with their own experiences of it in the way that it was central to Ophelia's journey through the trials and how Blackwell supported her with it rather than dismissing the shadow voice. I absolutely loved the romance that developed between Ophelia and Blackwell but I enjoyed that the first chunk of the book really focused on Ophelia and Geneveive's relationship rather than jumping straight into the romance and trials.
