And because the pillow maintains its support all night, I do not wake several times to readjust my old pillow setup for better support throughout the nights. If you've been sleeping on something else that holds your neck differently, you may need to work yourself into this in stages like me. I love that both ends of the pillow have a bit of a higher contour than the center in order to hold your spine straight while on my sides. I can definitely feel the difference in the better support throughout the night. And while I might have thought it was too firm initially, it is just right. Open box, place pillow cover on. Can you find that online? I did not look for that part. The pillow comes with details on care and where your head and neck should be placed for max comfort. By the way. It does help support the neck when I sleep on my back or side. **Q: If i sleep on my side will i sink into so much it covers my face?** A: Not at all. The pillow conforms nicely to either side or back sleeping. I tend to do both. It might be uncomfortable if you sleep on your stomach though. **Q: I am still confused as to where I am supposed to put my head if I am sleeping on my side?** A: It says to put it on the high side, which did help my neck but hurt my ear and made me hurt in other places. Surprisingly, I found it helped me most when I took out the extra padding in the middle of the pillow, laid on my side, and placed my head in the hollow of the pillow in the middle that was left. Initially, I thought I was going to have to return it. It was hard, not comfortable and hurt, rather than helped my neck pain. Instructions came with the pillow, "if you sleep on your side do this, if you sleep on your back...but I thought they were confusing. With that said, the company made it clear they were available to help in any way and to contact them with questions. Anyway, part of the instructions recommended removing an inner padded piece inside the pillow if the pillow was too firm and if that didn't work, contact the company and they would send a softer version of the pillow. I removed the inside piece and it made all the difference. For the most part, using the pillow helps me get a better night's sleep and I wake-up with minimal to no neck pain and no headaches. After some trial and error, it has worked out well for me.
