I started by using the app but it was not necessary at all. Once you get the hang of it it's super easy. We did a six second press to warm the garment. Then we did 30 seconds on each side. I made a whole bunch of really cute bibs and onesies for my sister's baby shower. They came out really fantastic! I had bought vinyl decals to transfer on. Each one took less than 2 minutes at the most. And then I would let it sit for a minute while I moved on to the next one. I helped make it for most people unless they had seen me do it several times. It heated up really fast, like within 3 minutes it was completely ready to go. It did stay hot or warm for a very long time, like over 90 minutes. It was not a big deal at all but I just noticed it because I was ready to package it back up and leave the party. I wanted to wait for it to cool completely before I put it next to anything paper or plastic. I highly recommend this and it was super easy to use.
