They're thicker, almost like real acrylic nails. I really like the quality and how sturdy they are. I used my own glue so I can't say anything about the glue that comes with it. It came with a sheet where you can write down which size you need for each nail, which is genius. They had a shimmer which wore off after like a week, but you could probably put a clear coat of polish over it.
