It looks modern and elegant in my kitchen, and the suction power is excellent—it removes smoke, oil fumes, and cooking odors very effectively, even during heavy cooking. I also appreciate the auto-clean feature (if your model has it), which makes maintenance much easier. Installation was smooth, and the overall build quality feels premium and durable. The installation happened the next day after delivery. The installation is handled by Elica — they will either reach out to you directly, or you can raise the installation request yourself. The installation process was smooth and hassle-free. The engineer was well-informed and provided a proper demo of the product. They will ask about the exhaust/exit hole setup beforehand and explain all the associated costs in detail. Product and Cost: Most of the cost comes from the touch controls, motion sensor and BLDC motor, which I believe is justified since it helps reduce electricity consumption and make it easy to use. However, if your budget is tight, you can go for similar models with physical buttons, which should cost less. The model I chose looks and feels premium and fits perfectly in my kitchen. One important thing to note is that this model does not come with the installation kit, so you’ll need to pay extra for installation (~₹500 + GST) and for the kit itself (cost depends on the required length). The kit is optional, and technically installation is optional too, but if you don’t get it installed by an Elica technician, it may affect your warranty claims. If you choose Elica installation, you get completely free warranty service for two years. In my case, I got it installed by Elica but purchased the kit separately from a local hardware store for around ₹500. The installation of the kit was included in the installation charges, but the kit itself had to be purchased separately.

Got an Elica chimney installed last week. Suction power is excellent — handles Indian cooking smoke and masala without any issue. Touch controls and auto-clean are super handy. A bit noisy specially after speed mode 5. Installation was prompt. Technician from Elica came next day, finished in under 1 hour, and explained maintenance well. Overall, great product and hassle-free installation. Would recommend.
