So since this is the first review: This is a non-pressurized espresso filter for the Staresso mini and classic portable espresso maker. The original instructions do not apply to this basket, so I did 5 pumps and it started dripping out the coffee, so I continued the 1 pump per second until it stopped dripping. There is no layers to the espresso and there is more boldness to the flavor. I used fine grounds, tampped down. This essentially makes really strong coffee with less cleanup afterwards...I like it either way and since I don't truly understand espresso, I recommend this stainless non-pressurized filter basket as an added accessory to your portable mini or classic espresso maker.
