Talbina is a soothing broth made from ground barley that has many healing properties. It is mentioned by Ibn al-Qayyim in his great work on "The Prophetic Medicine" and there are many Ahadith on the merits of talbina for the sick and grieving person. Ibn al-Qayyim described talbina as a thin soup with the consistency of yoghurt (laban), from where it''s name is derived. He said that it was a broth made from barley flour together with the husks, and it is similar to barley water but the difference is that barley water is cooked with whole barley but talbina is cooked with ground barley. Therefore it is more beneficial because it can be digested easier and the nutrients are penetrated into the system quicker. He also said that "it has relaxation for the heart of the sick person", it is nutritious and filling, and it warms and soothes the stomach, helping to lessens sorrows and to regain health. It can also be effective in maintaining bowel regularity. Some ahaadeeth on the subject include: Aishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said that whenever one of her relatives died, the women assembled and then dispersed (returned to their houses) except her relatives and close friends. She (may Allaah be pleased with her) would order that a pot of talbina be cooked. Then Tharid (a dish prepared from meat and bread) would be prepared and the talbina would be poured over it. Aisha (may Allaah be pleased with her) would say (to the women), "Eat of it, for I heard the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) saying, ''The talbina soothes the heart of the patient and relieves him from some of his sadness.'' " [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5058)]. The Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) also said: "The talbina gives rest to the heart of the patient and makes it active and relieves some of his sorrow and grief." [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5325)]. ## Features - Ingredients: organic roasted barley , almonds, dry dates Directions: just add in hot or cold milk , stirr well & enjoy ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D7CRRH6N | | ASIN | B0D7CRRH6N | | Age Range Description | 4+ | | Brand Name | Generic | | Container Type | Can | | Flavor | Almond Dates | | Item Form | Dates | | Item Weight | 300 Grams | | Item Weight | 300 g | | Manufacturer | AL MASNOON | | Manufacturer | AL MASNOON | | Number of Items | 2 | | Product Benefits | Support Digestion, Soothe Stomach, Maintain Bowel Regularity | | Special Ingredients | Almonds, Dry Dates | | Specialty | Natural, Organic | | Sweetness Description | Moderately Sweet | | Tea Variety | Barley | | Unit Count | 300 Grams | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Generic - **Flavour:** Almond Dates - **Item form:** Dates - **Tea variety:** Barley - **Unit count:** 300 Grams ## Images ![Al Masnoon Talbina with Almond Dates Instant Mix 300g (pack of 2) A Sunnah & Healthy Food for All Age Group - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41oSCzjvbAL.jpg) ![Al Masnoon Talbina with Almond Dates Instant Mix 300g (pack of 2) A Sunnah & Healthy Food for All Age Group - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51vRD1XjYqL.jpg) ![Al Masnoon Talbina with Almond Dates Instant Mix 300g (pack of 2) A Sunnah & Healthy Food for All Age Group - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41ySE+HP0xL.jpg) ![Al Masnoon Talbina with Almond Dates Instant Mix 300g (pack of 2) A Sunnah & Healthy Food for All Age Group - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51AYaORNhhL.jpg) ![Al Masnoon Talbina with Almond Dates Instant Mix 300g (pack of 2) A Sunnah & Healthy Food for All Age Group - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41ryCE7ENfL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - Al Masnoon Talbina with Almond Dates Instant Mix 300g (pack of 2) A Sunnah & Healthy Food for All Age Group - Two Brothers Organic Farms - Khapli Wheat Flour (2 kg) | High Dietary Fiber | Easy Digestion | Stoneground Emmer Atta --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/635728206-al-masnoon-talbina-with-almond-dates-instant-mix-300g-pack](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/635728206-al-masnoon-talbina-with-almond-dates-instant-mix-300g-pack) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
