IT will also control from the case too however if you have that ability instead. Review: FAILURE AFTER FAILURE - I have been through 5 in total to have 3 fans........ and now the middle one has died, so 6. It went through a period of partly working then total failure. All connections have been checked multiple time and the is no software control issue. The ones i returned before has the same issue, only partly lighting up. The LEDs are underneath the black plastic frame covered by a transparent white ring that let's the light shine through. So you could actually disassembled them, and paint the black part any color you'd like, then reassemble it without obscuring the LEDs in any way. **Q: My mb header only supplies 2amps. do these actually draw 1 amp each?** A: The included data in boxes of both digital Luxury and non-Lux versions states 30 less consume 1amp. Hard to believe, I run (2) 140mm 30 led to Gigabyte board... and no problems. Would use another with additional header would likely be safe... but can't say for sure. LED's generally use very low current... so think info from Phanteks might be suspect or milliamp instead of amps... Only an inline current meter would prove how much or little these draw! **Q: i have a 'phanteks enthoo evolv itx tempered glass' case and gigabyte b450i pro wifi. will i need any sort of adapter for this to work?** A: If your case has Phanteks hub yes, no other cable necessary.
