Review: easy install - worked great to tap a new drain line in to an existing one. easy install and significantly less digging than splicing a whole "wye" into the existing. I primed and glued all around the contacting surface of both the new and existing pipe and caulked inside, hopefully it doesn't leak and let roots grow in but for now, im impressed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really Glad They Make These Saddle Fittings

I purchased this saddle tee to tap into an inside perimeter foundation drain when I was building a radon mitigation system. I had to cut a hole in our basement concrete floor and dig down a little over three feet to reach a short piece of 4" drainage PVC used in a step-down in that drain line, and the idea of trying to cut and insert a glue-in tee just wasn't very appealing. Spending more time hanging upside down in that hole wasn't my first choice for fun things to do, plus there was really no way to move either end of that PVC pipe after cutting through it, so using a glue-in tee would have resulted in having the pipe only half engaged in the two ends of the tee after centering it. This device was the ideal answer. I cut a hole in the top of the PVC, placed sealant around the holr, and then put this saddle fitting in place. It's really made for schedule 40 PVC, but it worked just fine the this drain line. I guess I still had to hang upside down in the hole, but it worked out great. And, best of all, our basement radon level dropped to outdoor ambient levels after firing up the fan in the attic.
