It does what it it is suppose to do.

It does NOT output audio on 3.5mm stereo jack output.There is 3-position audio selection switch (5.1ch - 2ch - Pass); none of the position puts out any signal on that 3.5mm stereo jack output.I do not need optical output - therefore I did not try that jack.Now, there are several brands on this exact looking box. This was the cheapest choice - with no customer rating. Now I know why. Stay away and choose a product with decent rating.
