When I was a kid, my family would make me eat it outside, no matter how cold it was in Northern Maine where I lived. After triple zip lock bagging it, I keep it in the freezer, and have stored it there, between using it as craved, for a very long time, like two years. After all, it is already pretty well protected from degradation. **Q: is this like a jerky** A: No. The blind robbin is not like a dry jerky. However it is salty with a heavy smoked fish flavor similar to an anchovy. The blind robbin has a big following of customers who grew up with the fish.
