Regarding whether they fit a particular gauge of wire, I can "conclusively" say that the included 30A connectors (the plastic part is the housing) fit SOME 12 gauge wire but not all. I tried stranded Southwire brand stranded 12 ga and it fit easily but that is not a type of wire that's appropriate for connections where constant moving and flexing is expected as it only has 19 coarse strands. I also tried some very flexible silicone insulated 12 gauge wire that has 680 very fine strands and it was too large to fit the 30A connectors.
