It is pretty simple system, i did away with the measurements. I add the whole can of Cafe Du Monde (or 10-16oz bag of ground coffee. If beans, Grind as course as possible). Usually I will layer it 1/4 coffee, 1/4 filtered or distilled water, more coffee, more water, ect ect. Once coffee soaked, I'll fill hopper to 1/2"-3/4" of top and put the supplied lid or a pot lid on top. Let it sit over night or 8-12 hours. Drain and enjoy. This makes a coffee concentrate that stays fresh in Fridge for 2-3 weeks. I mix 1/4-1/3 coffee and rest boiling water. Poof, fresh coffee anytime of day.
