I love the flickering flame effect, very effective and looks amazing at night. It is very realistic looking, looks like a flaming torch! It already had a bit of charge in it when it arrived so I could use it right away, been using it since at home, had it in the kitchen window so it gets plenty of sun and it comes on every night when it's dark (it only activates in the dark). There is an on and off switch so if you don't want it to come on at night automatically it won't do, but it will still charge during the day.
