The wire company's requirement is that I do megaohms check on the wire in order to get a 15-year warranty over that of a 10-year one-if I didn't do it. In that case, I figured I'd do the megaohms check. Just needed a mega meter. So I thought it's might be worth trying this inexpensive mega meter. Very pleased with the results. If you need a simple mega-meter for infrequent use, then I'd recommend this one. I also teach electrical classes a the local community college, so I might get more use out of in some of those classes. Anyway, worth the purchase!! Also, there is some good YouTube video on good guidance on how to use this model. Didn't come with any instructions.
