This couldn’t be more true of this product. I’ve been through three or four portable chargers and air inflators over the last few years with an average about $25-$35 on each and they all break within one year, or are woefully underpowered for what they’re supposed to do. After getting tired of constantly replacing them, I decided to bite the bullet and spend a premium dollar on a DeWalt product, which we all know contractors like to use. Right away you know that this is a superiorly built product because it is heavy, sturdy, well built and feels like it’s going to last 100 years. It was charged right out of the box but I charged it anyway and in less than 30 seconds of use it’s already paying itself, jumpstarting a V8 with absolutely no issues. I’ve had to jumpstart that V8 three or four times and the unit is still holding a 12.2 V charge with no issues. It also acts like a power station so you can plug in other electronic devices, inflate tires and charge all your electronic devices with ease. If I add up all of the cheap chargers and inflators that I bought, I could’ve had this five years ago and still been enjoying it. Lesson learned. I look forward to years of use with this product.
