## Description

desertcart.com - Eichzer 10 Inch Lazy Susan Turntable Organizer, Heavy Duty Swivel Stand | Steel Ball Bearings, 360 Degree Smooth Rotation, Multi Use for Model, Plants, Crafts, TV, Monitor, Laptop Display

Review: Flawless, stutter-free 360˚ rotation—the ultimate heavy-duty turntable for 3D scanning! - I picked up this Eichzer 12-Inch Heavy Duty Rotating Swivel Stand to serve specifically as a manual turntable setup for my photogrammetry and 3D scanning rig. When you are tracking intricate physical objects with a handheld 3D scanner or a camera array, any sudden jerking, stuttering, or uneven rocking will completely ruin your tracking lock, forcing you to restart the entire mesh generation from scratch. This heavy-duty stand operates with flawless mechanical precision. Why this rotating stand is superior for 3D capture workflows: Perfect Stutter-Free Ball Bearings: The internal steel ball bearing track is excellently engineered. It handles rotation with a completely liquid, fluid motion. There are absolutely no tight spots, grinding friction, or sudden catches, allowing you to execute hyper-smooth 360-degree turns while keeping your scanner's tracking software perfectly locked onto the target model geometry. Rock-Solid Dynamic Stability: Unlike thin, flimsy kitchen plastic turntables that wobble or tilt under weight, this premium stand features a thick, robust structure. I have centered heavy mechanical parts, large engine components, and delicate multi-part model assemblies on it, and it keeps the subject perfectly level with zero horizontal runout. Excellent Surface Grip: The top face provides a great non-slip surface, ensuring your subject models don't slide out of alignment or vibrate out of center when you rotate the base. Makerspace & 3D Scanning Optimization Tips: Adding a Tracking Mat: To give your 3D scanner more tracking data when scanning featureless or highly symmetrical objects, cut a round sheet of cardboard or plastic to match the 12-inch top. Draw high-contrast asymmetric patterns, dots, or crosshairs onto it, and tape it down as a permanent scanning bed plate surface. Cleaning Maintenance: If you are scanning dusty parts or raw 3D prints straight out of a workshop, make sure to keep the perimeter of the turntable wiped clean. This prevents tiny plastic shavings, support dust, or shop grit from dropping down into the internal steel ball bearing track. The big takeaway: The Eichzer rotating stand proves you do not need to spend top dollar on a "specialized" additive manufacturing or photogrammetry turntable to get elite results. It offers industrial-grade structural rigidity, whisper-silent rotation, and a generous 12-inch footprint that accommodates wide scanning subjects effortlessly. It is a fantastic value purchase that has completely streamlined my digital 3D design workflow.
Review: Good Lazy Susan - I needed a lazy Susan to put my pieces on that I was wood burning and make them easy to turn around and change angles. This has been great. It's nice, quiet, and smooth rolling.
