The pad isn't too thick and if there are some bumps under it you will feel them, but I like my mouse surfaces to be as close to the desk as possible, so the thickness isn't an issue for me. Review: Thin for a Mousemat But Useful for Tiddlywinks - I did not buy this as a MouseMat, I had other ideas - please watch the video! I'm a lover of classic games, ones that teach you hand-eye coordination, developing skill, patience etc. So, for my Great Nephew, I purchased the good old game of Tiddlywinks, only to find that on todays modern table surfaces it is difficult to get the counters to 'jump', they just slide along the surface.
