I put it near my fountain and the birds use it. It is very attractive and the height and size are as described. The metal works for this use. Two dings: First: They really should have put pointy feet on this thing, since it's designed to be shoved into the dirt. Second, since there are no pointy feet, it's really tempting to put your foot on the (not strong enough) lower horizontal bar to shove this into the soil. The two panels connect together eaily - maybe a little fiddly but it's fine. If you were moving them around a lot a zip tie or two could help.
